International Journal of Computational Bioinformatics and In Silico Modeling [Formerly, Journal of Bioinformatics and Research] is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that focuses on research and review papers that provide novel insights on in silico modeling of all computational studies in the fields of biology, bioinformatics and cheminformatics, including informatics in medicine and pharmacy. Among the topics considered by the journal are computational and statistical methods for the analysis of biological data, gene identification and annotation, analysis of heterogeneous information, data mining, integrative analysis, medical genomics, surveys, ontologies, protein networks, programming, software development, database design and translational research. The journal is published online bi-monthly with one volume per year and the journal acts as a bridge to various interdisciplinary fields of bioinformatics, cheminformatics, medical informatics, and closely related fields of computers and biology, chemistry and drug design. The journal publsihes analyses involving SAR studies, new methods and approaches in computational bioinformatics and modeling proteins in silico and all aspects of drug design.
