The Panamerican Journal of Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Surgery will be a peer-reviewed journal providing a forum for papers of the highest quality pertaining to the pathophysiology and management of critical illness and injury. The Journal aims to publish basic, translational and
clinical research in this field to advance and disseminate surgical knowledge. The Panamerican Journal of Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency General Surgery is the official journal of the Panamerican Trauma Society. It aims to be all encompassing and encourages publication not only in clinical sciences but also in basic sciences related to this specialty. The manuscripts will include case discussions, original articles, case report, case series, review articles, book reviews, journal abstracts, preferred practice section, innovations section, personalities/history section, letters to the editor and abstracts from the annual Panamerican Society Congress.
